It started in the mid-80's when bands who did not fit into the mainstream of rock music were being signed to independent music labels. This "underground" approach is now at the forefront of today's music. We will explore some of the modern "alt-rock" and "alt-pop" bands that reflect this popular genre.
The Woodstock Concerts
Friday 5:00-6:30

Intermediate Students
There were 3 separate Woodstock's each with a completely different vibe. The Festival's occurred in years 1969, 1994 and 1999. Create a setlist with songs that were played in any of the shows.
ROCK BAND 101
Saturday 10:00-11:30
Start Date Sept 14
Beginner-Intermediate Students
This is geared to the younger crowd, and the setlist will be beginner level appropriate, in a low stress & fun environment. Bands may include AC/DC, Green Day, The Beatles and Taylor Swift.
There are a limited amount of slots available in each ensemble and enrollment is on a first come basis. Students are encouraged to enroll as early as possible to secure a spot in the ensemble of their choice.
Schedule (days & times) subject to change; minimum enrollment required. Ensembles can be added as needed.
If you want to be involved in more then 1 band, each additional band would cost only $100 more per month.
*Guitarists need to know their basic open chords, how to play power chords and keep a steady strumming pattern while switching chords. Drummers should be able to keep a steady beat and perform basic fills. Bass players should be able to play chord roots, basic arpeggios and keep a steady rhythm.*
